The Iconic Red Hobbit Door.
Sulu Garden is located in the Municipality of Miag-ao in Iloilo Province, in the southern part of Iloilo. It's an Asian inspired restaurant. It has gained popularity for the pass 3 years and mostly visited by locals and tourists who are passing by. A pit stop for a well deserve relaxation and sumptuous meals.
What I like about the place is the ambiance. It took me to a zone of peace kind of mind set. Seating there relaxing and savoring my meal. I also like their attention to details. Every nook has something you could look at and enjoy. The place is small but packed. When I say packed, it has a lot of venues for sitting like the Japanese inspired hut, the air conditioned setting, the second floor veranda, the numerous garden arrangements and shady sittings. It's tranquility is inviting despite the fact that adjacent to it is the national road. They've managed to build a balance with nature. They also offer affordable menus and have accommodating staffs. You'll also gonna love the comfort room!
You can also make reservations for events like birthdays, pre-nuptials and other important occasions.
Getting there. From Iloilo City Central Market (behind Robinson's Place) take a Miag-ao or San Joaquin jeepney that would cost around php50 and instruct the "konduktor" (that's the one collecting the fare) to drop you at Sulu Garden. That's after the Miag-ao Plaza or the infamous Miag-ao Church and before the Miag-ao UPV campus. The entrance to the Sulu Garden is at the bridge. There's a signage to the place. Another option is you ride the jeepney at Mohon Terminal (Terminal for south bound destinations) for php40. It would take 45minutes to an hour from Mohon Terminal and almost 2hours from the City. See you there and indulge yourself with great food. Itadakimasu!
