Mararison Island

Mararison Island, the Batanes of Western Visayas is an Island at the coast of Culasi, Antique. Tourists and travelers alike flock to this picturesque landscape and breathtaking views. The unspoiled Island boost with it's natural hill slopes, crystal clear waters, white sand beaches and abundant seafoods. The Island has it's laid back feel for travelers who wish to escape the hectic life in the city. Mararison Island had slowly gain popularity since it was featured on television a few times.

This article is mainly on my trekking. One of the main reasons why this Island is visited. It has a beautiful trail filled with fortune plants and pine trees. About 30,000 pine trees were planted but a fire burned the first one so they planted a few more. A little caution, the heat during summer season is scorching. Even in October or other ber-months, it's hot. I advise you to be in your most comfortable clothes, wear protection, hydrate yourself and protection. Did I say protection? Protect yourself from the sun!!! Hat, sunscreen, leggings or pants for the hypersensitive skin with the grass.

The Pitcher Plant.
